Aquaculture

Krill has been used widely in the aquaculture industry for many years and with good reason. As nature’s perfect food source for centuries, it has been known to stimulate the response of feeding, increase hatches/survival rates and increase the overall health of certain aquatic species.

Because krill contains Astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant and carotenoid, it has been used as a natural coloring agent. Krill is a good source of Chitin. When administered to stocks whether through feed orally or via injection Chitosan (a derivative of Chitin) stimulates the immune system of several species of fish.
